Come relax and enjoy the surf and sun at one of the Emerald Coast's newest condominiums-- The Island Princess 409, a three bedroom, three bath condo, located on the quiet and family oriented Okaloosa Island, Florida (the island of Fort Walton Beach) and only ten minutes from the heart of Destin, Florida!
The seven story Island Princess was constructed in 1999, rentals began in 2000.
Island Princess 409 has been professionally decorated in lively colors and is awaiting your arrival!
We purchased Island Princess 409 in October 2001 and added all new furnishings! With the assistance of a professional decorator, we have selected lively furnishings in every room, making Island Princess 409, what we believe to be, the Best of Island Princess!
Located on the fourth floor, Island Princess 409 offers a full direct view of the beach, well above the dunes, but not too high to lose the feeling of being on the beach. It also offers the best reserved parking of all of the Island Princess. The reserved spot, under the deck, is the closest space to the central elevator. Island Princess 409 is centrally located in the building, only a few steps from the central elevator.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
YOUR CONDO IS DIRECTLY ON THE GULF, RIGHT? Yes, our condo is directly on the gulf. The balcony run parallel to the beach. It is NOT a side view, but a full view of the beach and ocean.
HOW OLD DOES ONE HAVE TO BE TO RENT YOUR CONDO? The Island Princess strives to be family oriented. To that end, we try not to rent to anyone less than twenty-five years old.
HOW OLD ARE YOUR CONDO? The Island Princess complex was built in 1999. Renters first came in 2000. We bought the three bedroom (IP 409) in October 2001 and put all new furnishings in at that time.
I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO THE OKALOOSA ISLAND AREA BEFORE, WHAT IS THE WATER LIKE? The water is simply beautiful. On most days it has a light emerald color-- hence the name "The Emerald Coast". On some days (after a storm), the water may be cloudy, but usually it clears up fast. Wave heights vary with weather and season conditions. And, don't forget the sunglasses. The beach is so incredibly white, sunglasses are a must.
DOES THE RENT INCLUDE A BEACH SERVICE? Yes, for those guests in the warm season, you will have free use of one umbrella and two chairs on the beach. You may rent additional if you need them.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE IS A HURRICANE? If there is an official hurricane warning during your stay, you may leave and receive a refund for the unused portion of your stay. If you choose to remain in the condo, naturally, there would be no refund.
WE HAVE SOME FRIENDS THAT ARE COMING WITH US, DO YOU HAVE ANY MORE UNITS AT THE ISLAND PRINCESS? At this time, we just own IP 409. It may be possible for you to rent it from us and another from our friend. Contact us for more information.
HOW MANY ELEVATORS ARE THERE AT THE ISLAND PRINCESS? There are three elevators. One in the middle, and one on each end.
ARE THERE RESTAURANTS AND GROCERY STORES NEARBY? Yes, there are several quality restaurants less than five minutes from the Island Princess. And, of course, Destin is only ten minutes or so away, so you can find many more there. See our Food and Fun Page for more information. As for grocery stores, PUBLIX opened a store only about five minutes (maybe a mile and a half or two) from our condo in July 2000. A Winn Dixie Marketplace is about ten minutes away in Fort Walton Beach. A convenience store with several items is only a block or two down from our condo.
WHAT HAPPENS IF A REPAIR IS NEEDED? We have an agreement with a local realtor to handle all of your needs should a problem arise.
WE WANT TO STAY AT YOUR PLACE, WHAT DO WE DO NEXT? Just contact us and let us know what week (or days) you prefer. You are welcome to call or email (see the Contact Us Page). We will verify availability. Once we settle on the date, we will send you two confirmation forms-- one for you and one for you to sign and return, along with your $225 deposit. That's it!
